Front Cover

During my magazine development I came up with many different drafts and ideas some I liked some i didn't. I started with my Front Cover:

I think this first draft is dull and boring but is a good bases as a start point to build on and change which i started in my second draft:

This draft is better as there is colour and I had developed the title more to make it more interesting but it's still very plan, empty. My final cover:

My final piece i think appeals better to my target audience because it's more interesting and stands out better than the original.

  1. I think this is a really effective front cover, Sally. You communicate a kind of snaggledy rawness that I associate with the kind of music you have covered.
Great design-thinking in the masthead and I love the way your model seems to be surrounded by flames. The 'horror' styling here is memorable.

  2. I really like the editing of your picture Sally. You can see the transitions and alterations you've made to your front cover and I think the final product looks really proffesional.
The theme you're going with; a guitar, chords, rock and angst, flow well throughout the magazine.
    Good Job :) xx
